Flood Risk Assessments
Flood Risk Assessments are a critical part of planning applications. Early involvement of a hydrologist is key to avoid project risk.
The Raincloud team has 16 years’ experience of producing Flood Risk Assessments for a range of development types. We provide Flood Risk Assessments using best practice methodologies that are fully compliant with the following legislation and guidance:
National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) for sites in England;
National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) for sites in Scotland; and
Technical Advice Note 15 (TAN15) for sites in Wales.
We agree the scope and requirements of Flood Risk Assessments with consultees at an early stage and our staff maintain a strong track record in receiving favourable planning recommendations from the Environment Agency (EA), Lead Local Flood Authorities and the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).
We work on a variety of scales from large energy, residential and commercial developments to individual households and minor developments.
We use industry standard software such as InfoDrainage and Flood Modeller to ensure our reports and advice comply with guidance, such as the SuDS Manual (C753).
